That's a good question. It's pretty hard to find the correct answer, however....

Re: What games you've been playing?

My never released Cavedog game "Amen: The Awakening" is the most direct inspiration - that game was 60% done when Cavedog fell apart, forcing the project's cancellation. Do you know who owns Amen: The Awakening now? If The Tower did really well, is that something you'd consider buying rights to and...

Re: What games you've been playing?

Well the underworld games are dungeon crawlers, but there also immersive simulation games that were made by the same studio that went on to make Thief, System Shock, Deus Ex. Consortium and a lot of other games owe quite a bit to Underworld. Absolutely it does! That game, and those others (except D...

Re: Still reaching for stretch goals?

Right on fanatictentacle!! We're aiming to apply everything we learned from making the first game, and that's a LOT of stuff.

Re: Still reaching for stretch goals?

Well, we are aiming to get the game as polished as possible before release to correct the mistake we made making Game One. So, this means cutting back the number of sheer features and focussing on polishing, balancing and iterating on a finished set of features for as long as possible. The longer we...

Re: Still reaching for stretch goals?

Ford, this is certainly a good and valid question. The answer is a little complicated. The Fig total includes most of the PayPal money received, but not quite all, given a few more backers have come onboard over the past couple months. However, we're still technically JUST below the stretch goal amo...

Re: Add Name To Lore Reward

This particular reward is pretty simple. You choose a name you want added to the lore, we make sure it gets added. It can be your name, or someone elses, or any name that isn't obscene or something. :-) Yep you can be sure it will make it into the lore and you will be able to find the article. In Th...

Ha! The hilarious thing is that it was complete fiction in the 80s when that movie was made. :-)

Re: Technology thought experiment

This is such an open ended concept. Take ANY modern tech back in time and it would seriously potentially disrupt tons of industries and fundamentally alter the course of human history. It's almost irrelevant to talk about which particular tech, though the invention of the atom bomb was utterly inevi...

Re: Level transitions?

Funny, Ford, you literally stumbled on our EXACT solution for streaming levels on the other side of doors. Except that Rooks do the hacking work, the Bishop just provides the interface. :-) We can't promise it will work for sure, but we feel pretty confident about it!
