Re: Fig crowdfunding hype!

Ladies and gents - we're now at 96%.

The iDGi Mandate has begun again. Better get a Fig post up redirecting backers and investors to here. Now we need to build the movement.

Re: What games you've been playing?

H&D needs a sequel. Its inventory management and stealth aspects put it so far ahead of any other game in real small unit warfare.

In a lot of ways, it's a WW2 ARMA.

IRC is pretty easy to set up - I just don't know how to make it permanent. I'd certianly love to have one.

Re: Who is 12212042 blogger?

The Wilconson Conundrum doesn't tell us directly what happened to Chard - what it does do is lend credence to Henry's sequence of events. It's clear that Malcolm Thomas' version of the events regarding John Wilconson is simply incorrect according Wilconson's digiconsciousness. I say that, as the onl...

Re: Who is 12212042 blogger?

I'm still doing more research but I doubt it will lead to any expansion of the above... What side of the Wilconson story does John Wilconson's ghost tell us? It sounds like the letter he sent about the Foremen being taken away isn't really correct - though it's possible he was hit and killed by Wor...

Re: Fig Pledges and Kickstarter Pledges

Hm. If I'm in the lore it'll be tricky. I'm a Boyle after all, so I may have to be a relative or something. I demand a conversation with Rook 13 about how his uncle inspired his love of 2Ds.

Re: Who is 12212042 blogger?

I mean almost all the subjects were nobodies. Why would Kevin Chard become one of Henry's subjects, voluntarily?

Good catch! You may be on to something: http://interdimensionalgaming.wikia.com/wiki/Th21e_Tr21uth_Pt.3 March 15, 2028 Do you know of any other articles/sources that more strongly link Kevin Chard to Subject 21? No. However I do know that Kevin Chard's corpse is dumped in London, with his spine fra...

Re: Who is 12212042 blogger?

I'm still thinking Kevin Chard is the best fit. It might not be him but 70% says it is. Not many that worked at K-1 were acquainted with Bellhurst, for example. The laser-like focus on Worldview can be explained by him believing Worldview killed Sarah Valette. I don't remember why Chard left Worldv...

Re: Fig crowdfunding hype!

It's crazy that there's going to be so many platforms for Consortium. Thankfully PS4/XBone have similar dev architecture to PC on this iteration IIRC. Linux/Mac will be the real challenge.

The Fig is doing -very- well. Also a crapton of investor interest. I think we need to step up PR to get people up in this thing.

Yeah, I don't really like any of those names. Not enough info at this point, I'd say - I think Xalapa will be our destination for the last game, where we'll get the answers to the Malcolm/K1 dichotomy.

Re: Doubletalk - Motor Control Chip related?

Yeah, but nobody notices that -your- voice is different either when you're in control of Bishop 6. I don't think iDGi-1 is better than K1, so I'm not necessarily sure how K1 doing it is different from us doing it. Which begs the question - why does King sound like he's run through a voice synthesize...

Doubletalk - Motor Control Chip related?

During the confrontation with Kiril and at other points, Knight 15 is able to talk to you and others simultaneously without losing focus or coherence. We've got a couple options to explain that: like ourselves, K may be split between her mind and another, connecting through another packet. She may a...

Re: Who is 12212042 blogger?

Do you have a list of people we know that worked at Xalapa? Kevin Chard, Walter Greenberg, Keiran Boyle (Was he there regularly? I know he helped review brain candidates), and others all make up the list. If we know the members, we can cross them off based on characterization or date of death to det...

Re: What games you've been playing?

Same on not really feeling X-COM 2. I think it's just really... same-y? Terror from the Deep is the same way - it was just a retexture of X-COM 1. We need an apocalypse version with a futuristic cityscape. I've been playing a lot of Verdun and hate it. I die alot and it's no fun. Rainbow Six: Siege ...

Re: Continuity with Game One

Sounds like they're at least keeping Rook 9/Rook 25/Rook 13/Knight 15 - whom are the prime voices in your head. I'm almost 100% sure that we'll see many of the actors back where possible - and, since the game's 100% voice with no need for mocap, you can find voice actors to replace them. If that's t...

Re: Trying to decipher a sleep sequence

I guess the question becomes this - why does Darsie matter? She's just James' kid AFAIK.

It seems kind of counterintuitive that a singular human being would be the primary catalyst of all of this. Is it something she does? Maybe send the reactor into criticality?

Or is she actually 'special'?

Re: Trying to decipher a sleep sequence

If that's the vessel we see, it would be a fun sub-story of him fighting to regain control of the body. Heck, it would be extra awesome if at one point he does regain the control and it goes like this: - Game crashes with some obscure exception; - When you restart it, you are at different point; - ...

Re: Trying to decipher a sleep sequence

But why does Darsie matter that much? Is she wearing that stuff in her concept art?

I just don't really find it likely that she's the one in the dream sequences. Maybe the Guardian of Knowledge?

I wish someone could rip the model so we had something to look at.
